Newnes Hotel Cabins

Historical wilderness retreat

The Colo Cabin

The Colo has one room, a bathroom and a tower. It has been designed to accommodate a small family of four. It is too small for four adults. This cabin is slightly larger than the Capertee cabin and includes a small study and the spectacular observatory bunk bed. On one side of the cabin, under the timber lined, gable roof, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge etc. and a dining area with a sofa / single bed. On the opposite side is the sleeping area with a queen sized bed, study area and single bunk bed. The bathroom facilities - shower, toilet, washbasin - are located at the back of the cabin. There's also a gas heater to keep you warm in winter.
On the front verandah, you can relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Whether you're a couple, a small family or a group of friends, this cabin may be just the escape you're looking for.

We provide doonas, pillows and blankets, but you will need to bring your own linen and towels.
